Group status: We have made adjustments this year to our choice of books to read. Our girls feel that several of the shortlisted titles would appeal more to boys. Thus we have included some other books to read in book club which restricts our reviews for the Carnegie

For the eighth year Luckley's book club, which is made up of year 9 and 10 girls, have been reading the shortlisted books in preparation for the Carnegie Book Awards..Our book club meets once a week on a Thursday. Our girls are enthusiastic with some book worms and some more selective in their reading material. We have tried to read as many books as we can and have enjoyed our weekly discussions - helped by some sweet treats!
