Why do you like reading?

It is a way to escape from the real world, to explore new and imaginative places.
It is relaxing and calms me down.
It is educational and helps me to develop my use of vocabulary. I can express myself more.
I like the fact that you can imagine how someone in a story looks, speaks and acts. You can become really close to them and empathise with their life.
I like to try new things, new genres and to discover new genres.
Reading is something I can do on my own but still be in the same room as other people.
I like to keep uptodate with my favourite authors.
I can carry a book around with me wherever I go, on a holiday, on a car journey, at school, at college, etc. I can dip in and out of my book when I have free time.
