John O'Gaunt School
Hungerford, BERKS
Group status: We are actively shadowing both the Carnegie and Greenaway awards. A group of students meet at lunch time on Friday to discuss the Carnegie books and another group meet every Thursday lunch time to review the Greenaway books.

Reading Group is great but Reading Group and biscuits is better!

Our groups are getting really stuck into the selection of books and we are trying hard to get all the titles read before the winner is announced! The Carnegie reading group voted last week to put Buffulo Soldier at the top of our Reading Barometer but More Than This was close behind. Every week we have had a different favourite! The Kate Greenaway group voted for Goth Girl to top their Reading Barometer. We are planning to visit Pewsey Vale School soon to meet and discuss all our favourite books with their shadowing group. It will be a real treat for us to spend time talking about books with other students who love reading! We will be celebrating with a Reviewers' Lunch in the library on Monday 22nd June. It will be interesting to see if any of us can pick the winning books...
