The Land of Neverendings

When Emily’s sister Holly passes away, Emily doesn’t know how to cope. But then she finds out that a world powered by imagination exists... Humans and toys both live on long after they have left the ?hard world?, but what if the door that connects the two gets broken? Welcome to the Land of Neverendings... I loved this book by Kate Saunders, as it is really funny, exciting, and makes you want more- I didn?t want to put this book down! It is also REALLY imaginative, and I loved the way that such silly things happen in the Land of Neverendings- Bear-Corf, support sessions for drawn-on dolls, and ballroom dancing, to name a few. As well as the funny, imaginative side of the story, it is also a really honest portrayal of grief for young people. It shows that sadness exists, but it doesn?t need to take over the other important things in life, like happiness and silliness, even when you lose a loved one. Emily missed Holly a lot, but she can still remember her without it taking over her life. Overall, I am going to give this book 5 stars because it is so exciting and funny, but also has a moral that is very important to the younger members of society. A rip-roaring adventure, with humour and a good message, I would recommend this to almost anyone!
