The House with Chicken Legs

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and creative. Also, at the same time the writer's plot made the reader very sad at some points. I really wanted to read on and find out about the Old Yaga's and Marinka's adventures together afterwards. You become involved and felt the emotions of the characters. For example, you feel sad when Baba leaves and doesn't come back through the gate. I like the characters of Marinka as the writer portrays her as very kind and adventurous. The setting and atmosphere that the writer sets is very interesting and as the house has chicken legs it has a humourous aspect.

I would recommend this book to children because it was an easy read and very exciting. This book is unique and very imaginative. I liked the plot twist where Marinka realised she was dead as it was really clever.
