The Land of Neverendings
The Land of Neverendings is about a young girl, Emily, who's disabled older sister, Holly, died after having a seizure in the middle of the night. Holly's favourite toy was a blue teddy bear called Bluey. When she died Emily wanted to remember as much about Bluey as she could because "each memory of Bluey contained a bit of Holly." To do this she got a notebook and wrote down things about him that she could remember. Then one night after getting home from an elderly lady's house she heard a noise coming from the attic so she went upstairs to investigate. When she got up there she saw Bluey and several other teddies planning a picnic.
This is as far as I got into the book as I thought it started off really well but when I read about the teddies speaking I completely went off the book. This is because I associate talking inanimate objects with younger children. If i was to recommend this book to anyone it would most likely be towards younger people.
