The House with Chicken Legs

The House with Chicken Legs is about a house which, two or three times a year, gets up and walks around but always ends up in the same place. The place is where the dead go to go through The Gate. The residents of the house guide the dead through The Gate and never get to see real life people.
I was instantly put off this book just by reading the title. 'The House with Chicken Legs' isn't something that I feel a teenager of my age and reading ability would see and get excited about. I feel I would have been more interested in the book if the title had been something different and focused more on the residents lives instead of the house's legs although I do understand this is a rather large and vital part of the story. I would not recommend this book to anyone because, to be quite honest, I found it boring and immature.
